On January 6, 2018, Weskan High School played fierce games against the Cheyenne Wells (Colorado) Tigers. The Weskan High School boys played a full JV game and won. Caleb Schemm said, “I thought we played pretty good. Some of the shots didn't go in, but I thought we played good as a team.”

The Varsity Lady Coyotes came in and took the Cheyenne Wells Lady Tigers head on. The final score for the girls game was 24-50.

Hallie Eck said, “We gave everything we had on the court. I got to be able to play with girls that I don't normally get to play with on my team, so that was really nice. We didn’t have two of our starters so that was an adjustment, but we played strong until the end.” Tate Vincent also said, “For a Saturday game, we played as a team and we fought together until the end.”

As the varsity Coyotes boys took on the varsity Cheyenne Wells Tigers, it was the start of a good game. The crowd was on the edge of their seats. Bailey McQuillan said, “It was fun playing against old team mates.” Sadly, the Coyotes lost by 10 points, with the score of 41 to 51. Dallas Seader said, “It was a rough Saturday, but we fought hard and any opportunity to play with my team is always a good one.”

Good job Weskan Coyotes.
